Robbie Watts is a rare rugby league talent with a wretched backstory.
Carving his name into regional footballing folk law, Robbie's efforts put him on the path of sporting greatness, but the young boy invokes a jagged trajectory upon himself.
Footballing greatness lingering, Robbie entertains all the possibilities life offers while leaving the door open to chance, friendship and love while ushering his bloodline to come and discover him before he searches it out himself.
A sporting tale with a dash of magical realism, The Bullant puts readers in the centre of high stakes rugby league games and the middle of Robbie's off beat life to witness the choices he makes, and doesn't, that …create him.
Greatness wanted him, just not in the way he wanted.
